Jacob is a lifelong Erie County resident, having grown up in East Springfield. He currently lives in Millcreek with his wife MacKenzie and son Lee. He began the first 12 years of his career in the nonprofit sector at Community Access Media or CAM (formerly CAT-TV). Beginning as an intern in 2010, he worked his way through the organization as a production assistant, then administrative coordinator, and finally served as the executive director from April 2014 through March 2022. He joined the Jefferson team in March 2022 as the Vice President of Operations, managing the day-to-day operations of the JES, including programming, publications, the Civic Leadership Academy, and the Brock Institute, as well as other emerging initiatives. Jacob is a self-proclaimed Erie advocate and is passionate about making a positive impact for the betterment of the Erie community. He is a 2021 Jefferson Civic Leadership Academy graduate, a 2022 Erie Ambassador, and currently serves on several boards and committees, including Junior Achievement of NWPA, Meals on Wheels of Erie, Community Access Media (CAM), the Emerging Erie Fund, New Blossoms New Life Foundation, and the Fort LeBoeuf Historical Society.
