Melinda Meyer and Erin Phillips

Melinda Meyer is an experienced educator, project consultant, grant writer, and nonprofit administrator, but first and foremost, she considers herself a history geek. She's worked in museums, is an advocate for saving places of community value through Preservation Erie, and teaches undergraduate courses for Mercyhurst University's Public History Program. Her full-time gig is working for the community development nonprofit Impact Corry managing grants, programs, and special projects.

Erin Phillips really loves old houses. After creating the popular Instagram and blog all about Erie, Pennsylvania’s residential built history, Old Erie On Foot (@olderieonfoot), she joined the board of the local historic preservation advocacy nonprofit Preservation Erie. There, she serves as their secretary, while also working as an editor and writer for the Erie Reader – writing about local historic buildings/preservation efforts as often as she can. When not researching, writing, or thinking about Erie’s beautiful old stuff, she can be found baking sourdough bread, knitting, reading, gardening, or riding bikes with her family.
