Anthony Colonna, D.P.M., was born and raised in Erie, Pa., and attended podiatry school in Cleveland, Ohio, at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. Upon completion of his medical education he attended the PMSR/RRA residency program at LECOM Health. He led the program as chief resident in years two and three of his residency education. He is double board certified by American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (Forefoot and Rearfoot/Reconstructive Surgery) as well as American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Since completion of his residency training he has been heavily involved in the residency program locally. While at his previous employer, he refined his skills in all concepts of foot and ankle surgery, focusing on minimally invasive surgical options. Providing care at a large tertiary care hospital has allowed significant growth of the residency education as well as the many students he has mentored. Additionally, there is a large focus on limb salvage with a multidisciplinary approach, which allows for professional interpersonal relationship development. Dr. Colonna is on staff at LECOM Health (residency program director)/LECOM College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Colonna also sees UPMC patients.
