Grow Erie: Revitalizing and Reimagining Investment in Community

In January 2025, in partnership with the Erie County Redevelopment Authority (ECRDA) and Integrated Agriculture Systems (INTAG) the Minority Community Investment Coalition's (MCIC) Grow Erie project took flight and began operations of its commercial facility.This advanced technology agriculture program is revitalizing a distressed neighborhood and serving as a catalyst for investment in Erie's eastside. Join Erie County Redevelopment Authority President and CEO Tina Mengine and guests for insight into the project and impact on the community.

Tina Mengine, B.S., has a long and distinguished public service career primarily focused on economic development and revitalization of Northwestern Pennsylvania. Mengine has been CEO of the Erie County Redevelopment Authority (ECRDA) since 2019 and is leading the authority’s transition into an innovative, progressive, and robust organization focused on meeting the needs of businesses, workers, and the community. Mengine has worked to ensure that economic development is equitable, fair and inclusive. Under Mengine’s leadership, ECRDA has spearheaded economic growth by helping hundreds of businesses expand and grow through innovative grant and loan programs.  Her notable career in the public sector has been focused on creating a stronger, more vibrant community and includes serving as regional director of the Governor’s Action Team through the PA Department of Community and Economic Development; vice president for University Advancement for Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and chief of staff for both a U.S. Representative and former City of Erie mayor. Tina serves on the boards of several community organizations, is the recipient of multiple community impact awards, is a graduate of LaRoche University and holds many leadership and industry-sector certifications.
