Bob Green, winemaker and professor, will lead a discussion of what wine is, and why it has such staying power based on its chemistry; explore the route wine has taken – from the Black Sea region including its spread throughout Europe; examine the introduction of vineyards and wine to North America; and provide timeline of events in the Lake Erie region with regard to vineyards and wine. In partnership with the Hagen History Center. Mazza wine sampling is included in the reception from 6 to 7 p.m.
