The Flagship City Food Hall is Erie's first-ever food hall, and Flagship City Public Market, the first operating grocery store in downtown in decades, are just two of the organization's projects. John Persinger, J.D. is the first CEO of the Erie Downtown Development Corporation, which was formed by community leaders in 2017 to revitalize downtown Erie through property development. Since taking on this role, the EDDC has been featured by the White House, the Wall Street Journal, and Forbes, and Persinger has testified before Congress. Prior to joining the EDDC, Persinger worked as an attorney with MacDonald Illig Jones & Britton. Before law school, he served in the White House and at the U.S. Embassy in Canberra, Australia. He is a graduate of Harvard and Notre Dame Law School.
