Making Sense of Erie County Residents' Dollars and Cents

It is that time of the year again: Budget season. Erie, Pennsylvania's County Executive has submitted his administration's 2025 budget proposal for Erie County Council review. The council has until Dec. 1 to adopt the budget. What is key to this year's budget proposal, and what does it mean for Erie County taxpayers? Join JES Decadean Scholar and Scholar-in-Residence Dr. Judith Lynch, and former County Executive, for a Special Community Conversation. Lynch will introduce the program, highlighting why it is important for residents to know what the county's annual budget includes, and its impact to Erie citizens, and will welcome Mr. Joseph Maloney, the founding partner of the Erie-based Maloney Reed Scarpitti and Company, LLP, which previously served as the accountant for the county, to examine the details of the proposed budget.
