What is White Supremacy & Christian White Nationalism? - Perspective from a Unitarian Universalist Minister
The term white supremacy is used in some academic studies of racial power to denote a system of structural or societal racism that privileges white people over others, regardless of the presence or the absence of racial hatred (Wikipedia). Using this definition, we will look at current issues affecting America and Erie County. It is a very "hot" topic, but has been with us since 1492 and seems to be getting worse at present. Many politicians are using "anti-woke" sentiments to stoke voters. The question of teaching race matters in schools is also on the agenda in many places ("Critical Race Theory").
