Jeff Kidder,

Mr. Kidder has over twenty years of professional experience, much of it working for the preservation and adaptive reuse of buildings throughout Northwestern Pennsylvania.  Committed to the promotion of architecture, urban design, and historic preservation, he is involved in numerous projects in downtown Erie, and is active on the City of Erie Planning Commission, Erie County Historical Society Properties Committee, Erie Downtown Partnership, Perry Square Alliance, and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission’s Historic Preservation Board.  Mr. Kidder was formerly a campus architect at the University of Virginia before founding Kidder Architects in 2003.  In 2005 Kidder Architects expanded to become Kidder Wachter Architecture and Design. Mr. Kidder received a Master of Architecture and Certificate of Preservation from the University of Virginia in 1990 and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Arizona State University in 1986.  He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and holds a certificate with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.  The NCARB certificate is a prerequisite for reciprocal licensure in all 50 states and Canadian provinces.  Mr. Kidder is licensed to practice architecture in New York and Pennsylvania.
