Lecturers at the Jefferson Educational Society

Kathy McCoy, M.A., worked in the Millcreek Township School District from 1976-2010, where she mainly taught English and elective classes on the Hero’s Journey.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education and Master of Arts in Secondary Guidance and Counseling from Edinboro University.  Ms. McCoy continues to serve on an unofficial group that provides desserts for the Emmaus Soup Kitchen.  Her interest in the Hero’s Journey started after viewing the PBS presentation entitled, “The Power of Myth” in 1996.
