Michael Songer is an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University Law School where he teaches a course in “The Law of Cyberspace.” He is also a trial lawyer with the firm Crowell & Moring LLP in Washington, D.C. For over twenty years, Mr. Songer has practiced technology law, including patent, copyright, and Internet issues. He had advised clients such as Viacom, Sprint, Lucasfilm, and Napster on a wide range of Internet disputes, including: In addition to his law and technology practice, Mr. Songer comments regularly on Internet issues in print, online, and traditional media. Mr. Songer has an engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame (1987) and a law degree from Duke University (1990). He is admitted to practice law before many state and federal courts, and is a registered patent attorney.
