Al Hunt & Judy Woodruff 

Nationally known and respected media personalities and spouses Al Hunt and Judy Woodruff will team up to comment on American politics and culture in their first Global Summit appearance.

 

Woodruff and Hunt are a forceful duo in journalism and in life. Their contributions to and lifetime commitment to journalism can only be described as honorable. Hunt received a B.A. in Political Science from Wake Forest University in 1965. Woodruff was conferred a B.A. in Political Science from Duke University in 1968.

 

Al Hunt, B.A. 

 

Albert R.Hunt is a Washington columnist,  co-host of 2022 Politics War Room podcast with James Carville and Al Hunt and a regular columnist with the Hill.

 

Hunt was a reporter, Washington bureau chief and a columnist for the Wall Street Journal. He also was  a weekly panelist for  seventeen years on CNN's Capital Gang. After the Journal, he was Executive Washington Editor for Bloomberg News and he hosted the weekend talk show Political Capital with Al Hunt on Bloomberg Television. He wrote a column for the International New York Times and Bloomberg Opinion.

 He is co-author of a series of books published by the American Enterprise Institute, including The American Elections of 1980, The American Elections of 1982, and The American Elections of 1984. In 1987, he co-authored Elections American Style for the Brookings Institution. He teaches a course on the Press and Politics at the University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Judy Woodruff, anchor of the PBS' NewsHour, live in Washington; they have three children. 

 

Judy Woodruff, B.A.

 

Judy Woodruff is an American broadcast journalist who has worked in network, cable, and public television news since 1976. She is the anchor and managing editor of PBS NewsHour. Woodruff has covered every presidential election and convention since 1976. She has interviewed several heads of state and moderated U.S. presidential debates.

 

Woodruff wrote the 1982 book, This Is Judy Woodruff at the White House, in which she describes her experiences as a journalist. Judy has always been a staunch advocate for women as part of a group of journalists that founded the International Women's Media Foundation. Hunt, one of the primary media analysts for presidential elections, co-authored Elections American Style for the Brookings Institution in 1987.
