William Johnson

Professor Johnson teaches in the MPM and undergraduate programs at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. Previously, he taught at Bentley University in the Boston area. His research and teaching interests include innovation, strategy and international management. He recently has examined the international practices of New Product Development (NPD) across a number of countries as well as innovation in China. His research is published in a number of innovation-based journals. In 2005, Dr. Johnson created the first ever NPD&PM track at the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) meeting. He has consulted pharmaceutical companies and the National Research Council in Canada and has been honored with a number of accolades for research on innovation and knowledge management including, most recently, Best Paper runner up at AIB 2007 and Best Paper Award at the 2007 SGBED conference in Kyoto, Japan.
