Lecturers at the Jefferson Educational Society

While teaching at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Snyder served as Artistic Director for five events celebrating Harry T. Burleigh’s life and music, including the April 2003 national conference, “The Heritage and Legacy of Harry T. Burleigh.” Her biography, Harry T. Burleigh: From the Spiritual to the Harlem Renaissance, has been published by the University of Illinois Press in their Music in American Life series. Dr. Snyder currently resides in Pittsburgh.
