Marcia K. Farrell, Ph.D., received her doctorate from the University of Tulsa
in 2005. Before returning to Erie, she was a tenured professor of English at
Wilkes University, where she specialized in Post-colonial literature and the
development of the novel. Currently, she is the Membership Coordinator and
Editor of the Journal of Erie Studies at the Jefferson Educational Society
