Guy McUmber is graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a B. S. in Geology. He has been employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection since 1982, working as a Solid Waste Specialist, Recycling Coordinator (1986) and Sustainability Coordinator (2002). Guy is presently a member of the Pennsylvania Pathways to Green Schools Team and a School Sustainability Advisor for the Green Schools Academy of the Green Building Alliance (GBA). He is a past Chairman of the GBA Northwest Branch and board member of the Allegheny College Center for Economic and Environmental Development (CEED). He has received the DEP Award for Excellence and the GBA Shades of Green Leadership Award. Guy is presently a board member for the United Way of Western Crawford County and CHAPS Journey Center in Meadville. He is also a past President of Crawford County Habitat for Humanity and Chair of the Meadville City Beautification Committee. He is a recipient of the Crawford County ARC Volunteer of the Year Award. He resides in Meadville his wife of 32 years Lynn and has two sons (Sam and Louis), a daughter (Abby) and one granddaughter (Georgiana).
