Stephen J. Porter, J.D.

Dr. Stephen Porter is an environmental attorney and has spent three decades working in a variety of capacities to foster a more resilient and sustainable future.  Steve is a Senior Advisor to the Clean Air Council and Co-Chairs NWPAGE, a regional Green Economy Task Force in North Western Pennsylvania. Until 2010, Steve was Director of the Climate Change Program at the nonprofit Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL).  Prior to joining CIEL, Steve was an environmental associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, and a budget analyst at the Congressional Budget Office. He earned his JD from Georgetown in 1993, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review. Dr. Porter was also amognst the first JES Global Summit presenters.
